Sikkim is the twenty-second state and is a land of abundance beauty and adventure. Airways –Sikkim has its own helipad at Gangtok, Pelling, Mangan, Namchi, Rangpo, etc. Chopper service is regular from Bagdogra to Gangtok once a day. Bagdogra Airport (IXB) is approximately 130 kilometers away and is served by regular flights, Go Air, Kingfisher, Spice Jet and Jet Airways flights from Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai and Delhi.
Railways New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) is the nearest major railway station and is approximately 135 kilometers away and a 4 - 5 hours drive to Gangtok / Pelling. New Jalpaiguri is well connected to the rest of India. There are regular train services to all the major destinations of India like Chennai, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Mumbai, Bangalore, etc.
Roadways – Gangtok is well connected with NH 31 A and is 135 kilometers away from New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Pelling is 140 kilometers. The roads are scenic and traveling by road is better than any other means. Sikkim is well connected with rest of India and with China via the Nathu La pass. Nepal and Bhutan is 4 – 5 hours drive from Sikkim
Darjeeling is the Himalayan district of West Bengal and is adjacent to the state of Sikkim in India in north East India. Darjeeling district consist of three major hill divisions and plain land called Dooars covered with forest. Nearby places are all linked up with roadways, railways and airways.
Railways - Major railway station is New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) nearly 90 kilometers from Darjeeling Town. Kalimpong is 85 kilometers from Siliguri. Nearest railway link is Darjeeling which is connected with the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (UNESCO). There are regular trains from New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) to Darjeeling town, Kurseong, Sukhna, Malnadi, etc.
Roadways – National highway number 31 A connects Sikkim and Kalimpong to Siliguri, National highway 55 connects Darjeeling and Kurseong and National highway number 31 connects Guwahati with Siliguri and it passes through the middle of the Dooars connecting all the major places of Dooars.
