Kalimpong, Gangtok, Tshangu Lake, Baba Mandir, Lachung, Yumthang, Pelling, Darjeeling

Day - 1 : NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport-Kalimpong

On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Kalimpong. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Over night stay at Kalimpong.

Day - 2 : Kalimpong Sightseeing - Gangtok

After breakfast at hotel you will be taken for local sightseeing of the town which includes, tours of Forest Museum (closed on Thursday), Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr. Grahams Homes School, Durpin Monastery, Dham and Pine View Nursery (cactus only). Afterwards you will be transferred to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Over night stay at Gangtok.

Day - 3 : Excursion to Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir

After breakfast at hotel you will depart for full day sight seeing of Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. (Nathu La Pass to republic of China is nearly 20 Kms and is an optional tour). Return to Gangtok in the evening for an overnight stay at hotel. Tshangu Lake: is one of the most popular destinations for tourists; it is located at 43 km from Gangtok. The lake is about 1km long, oval in shape, 15 metres deep and is considered sacred by the local people. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months. On the way to the Lake, you will enjoy beautiful scenery and snow capped mountains. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tshangu Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing).

Day - 4 : Gangtok - Lachung

Pick up at 10 am from hotel in Gangtok to proceed towards Lachung. On the way to Lachung you will enjoy magnificent location like Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, the confluence of rivers Lachen chu and Lachung chu at Chungthang, Twin waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Lunch will be served on route at Namok. You are likely to reach Lachung late in the afternoon or evening. Upon arrival proceed for check-in at hotel for overnight stay in Lachung

Day - 5 : Yumthang Excursion

After breakfast you leave for Yumthang. You can pay a visit to the famous hot spring on the way. Return to Lachung for lunch. After lunch you will depart for local sightseeing at Lachung. This includes visit to Lachung Monastery, Cottage Industry and waterfalls. Return to hotel for Dinner (around 8 pm) and overnight stay in Lachung. Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April, May and June the valley erupts in a riot of colours as rhododendrons, primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In winters, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the ethereal beauty.

Day - 6 : Lachung - Gangtok

After breakfast you will depart for Gangtok stopping on the way at many places between Singhik and Mangan to see the Kanchendzonga Range. These locations offer majestic view of Mt. Pandim, Mt Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt Kanchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu. On arrival check-in at hotel, overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day - 7 : Gangtok Sightseeing - Pelling

After breakfast at hotel you will be taken to a half day city tour of Gangtok. This includes Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-drul Chorten (Stupa, built by the venerable Trulshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, in 1945), Flower Show, White Hall, After sight seeing depart for Pelling. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. The evening is free for leisure, overnight stay at Pelling. Pelling- located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok Pelling is another serene, mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of approximately 2000 metres and commands a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Day - 8 : Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast you will depart for full day sight seeing. This includes Rimbi Water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake (The world Khachoedpalri means The Wishing Lake. It is one of the most sacred and holy lakes for the Buddhists), Kanchenjunga Water Falls, Kechopalri Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins. Overnight stay at Pelling.

Day - 9 : Pelling - Darjeeling

After breakfast depart for Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. The evening is free for leisure, overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day - 10 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill (8364 Ft / 2550 Mts) at around 3:45 am for viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if the weather is favorable), while returning visit to Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop. After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for Half day city tour of Darjeeling. This includes sight seeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day - 11 : Darjeeling - NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

After breakfast at hotel transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey. As you go home let the everlasting memory of the radiant Himalayas and this beautiful serene place linger in your mind and prompt you now and again to revisit this place.
